Why use RDT 09?

Respiratory protective masks get exposed to a wide range of contaminants, such as dust, perspiration, bacteria and viruses, as well as dirt of all kinds. Hence, they need to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Cleaning and disinfecting respiratory protective masks manually is a time-consuming, and not entirely hygienic, process.

The fully automatic RDT 09 mask washing machine is designed for the gentle, hygienic and efficient back-to-back cleaning, disinfecting and drying of respiratory protective masks. After fastening the contaminated masks to the rotating mask holder by means of elastic straps, RDT 09 is started, and approximately 3.5 hours later the perfectly cleaned, disinfected, rinsed and dried masks can be taken out of the machine.

RDT 09 does not have a water heater. Hence, it is suitable primarily for use with disinfectants for cold disinfection. However, it is also possible to use disinfectants for hot disinfection and feed the machine with hot water (max. 30 °C) according to the disinfectant manufacturer’s specifications.

How RDT 09 works

RDT 09 features a system of nozzles through which the disinfectant and clean water get sprayed onto the masks at regular intervals.The water is drawn directly from the water mains. RDT 09 adds the preset/required amount of disinfectant fully automatically. The air used for drying is heated to approximately 40 °C and blown into the mask chamber by means of a blower. The permanent rotation of the masks in the machine not only ensures that they get sprayed on all sides for perfect cleaning and disinfecting but also guarantees optimal drying.

Optional accessory: LGDV cleaning adapter

The optional LGDV cleaning adapter, which can be retrofitted at our factory, comes with Euro couplings and is designed for the gentle, hygienic and efficient back-to-back cleaning, disinfecting and drying of up to 9 lung-governed demand valves in approximately 3.5 hours.

During the cleaning and disinfecting cycle, the lung-governed demand valves are sprayed with disinfectant numerous times. RDT 09 adds the required amount of disinfectant in a fully automatic manner. During the drying cycle, heated air (max. 40 °C) flows through the rotating LGDVs before escaping into the ambient environment via an opening in RDT 09's housing.

If RDT 09 is equipped with an LGDV cleaning adapter, it can be loaded with up to 9 full-face masks AND 9 lung-governed demand valves. However, if the masks are heavily soiled, we strongly recommend refraining from loading the machine with 9 masks and 9 lung-governed demand valves in order to guarantee optimal cleaning.
